An Oniony Week

View of a large vegetable garden with lots of growth. There are trees in the background and three polytunnels on the right hand side.

This week we have been busy with lots of onions. Volunteers Alister and Duncan started us off by harvesting the bed on onions with Marc and Shona. They then planted more lettuce into the empty bed which we hope to eat at the harvest feast!

Later in the week Shona taught a group of volunteers how to plait the harvested onions! This is a great way to store onions, it looks lovely and keeps good air circulation which will help to keep them healthy whilst they dry out.
