The Floating (Unexpected) Garden
From the 21st June our Floating (Unexpected) Garden will tour the Scottish canal network, traveling from Glasgow to Edinburgh before resting in residence at The Kelpies from July to September.
Something different is taking root
Dandelion is a creative celebration of growing, music and community – rooted in Scotland but with an international outlook, and with sustainability at its heart. Dandelion follows the arc of the growing season, from April to September 2022 – culminating with hundreds of Harvest events across Scotland.
Dandelion Festival Glasgow
Join us on 17–19 June in Glasgow’s gorgeous Kelvingrove Park for our first Dandelion Festival – a three-day spectacular of live music, performances, talks, workshops and food that’s open to everyone and completely free.

Young people's Growing ClubUnexpected Garden: The Field
Young people aged 9–18 (P6 to S6) are invited to join us in The Field every Friday afternoon between 1 - 4 pm to learn about all aspects of horticulture – and gain a qualification at the same time! All sessions are free.
Absolutely everyone can give growing a go this year – free plants will be bestowed by our towering Flower Singer on a tour of Scotland

Our story begins with our launch film in April 2022 – not in the city, a town or even a farm, but on a tiny island in the very far north-west of Scotland.
Free weekend-long festivals in Glasgow and Inverness bookend the summer with live music, theatre, plant giveaways, workshops, talks, science and arts.
