What a weekend we had at our first Dandelion Festival at Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow!
We welcomed over 44,000 people over 3 days! It may have been raining on Friday morning but over 1000 schoolchildren came along and enjoyed themselves at a special day of programme for young people.
Crowds enjoyed live music from across our 3 stages including Scottish acts like Shooglenifty, Niteworks, Admiral Fallow and Rura, to international artists including Darlingside whose close harmony vocals that brought the sun out on Friday afternoon, and a towering set from Les Amazones d’Afriques on the Pavilion Stage on Saturday night.
We gave away over 8000 plants at our Free For All on Sunday. That’s going to be a lot of new growers!
We heard from some incredible speakers in our Hothouse over the weekend.
And crowds were entertained by our street theatre performers – Treemendous, The Seagulls and The Flying Buttresses.
Delicious food and drink was served up by our food vendors.
If you missed out, or want to do it all again soon, join us in Inverness, Northern Meeting Park 2 – 4 September! Line-up to be announced soon.
