Our artists worked with islanders, young and old. Together they created pieces which linked people and land, celebrating our communities and the value of a sense of place. We look back over a busy summer and the beginning of the Unexpected Garden at the Trianaid care home on the Isle of North Uist.
Join us in Taigh Chearsabhagh for the opening night of the exhibition on Friday 4th November at 6pm.
The exhibition features work facilitated by Musician in Residence, Duncan MacLeod as well as artists Margaret Fenton, Fiona MacIsaac, Margaret Joan MacIsaac, Deirdre Nelson and Jemima Dansey-Wright.
A big thank you to the children of Wild Things Uist, Sgoil Uibhist a Tuath, as well as Anne Monk and the volunteer embroiderers for all their hard work.
The exhibition is free to view in the Taigh Chearsabhagh café gallery, 10 am – 4 pm, Monday to Saturday.
